Rosewood Post Acute Rehabilitation: facility staffing

In reviewing the staffing information, it is important to note the productive hours per patient day provided by the “direct caregivers”, i.e., registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, psychiatric technicians and nurse assistants. Since 70% of the hands-on care provided in most nursing homes is provided by certified nurse assistants, the productive hours per patient day in this category is particularly important, as well as the average hourly wage, which is often related to the overall staff turnover rate.
